Our Team
The Lacrosse Foundation is run by a board of trustees who are all volunteers themselves, and supported by other various roles.
Abbas Daya - communications
Abbas has always been a keen sports enthusiast and his chosen discipline was kendo – Japanese style fencing which shares lacrosse’s history of being rooted in war.
Abbas’ background is in teaching, drama and writing. He currently works part time for a construction and engineering company and in his other life he is a novelist, copywriter and voice over artist.
Due to his keen interest in sports in general, and his desire to become involved in charity work, Abbas joined TLF as a writer to help promote lacrosse in all parts of the UK. He would also love to venture down the lacrosse rabbit hole to see what he can learn about the fascinating sport.
Ellie Davis - Development officer
Ellie has been involved in lacrosse since the age of 11, first discovering the sport at school before going on to represent Loughborough University as part of the Women’s 1st team, where she also served as Club Chair. She also coaches the Loughborough performance squad, supporting athlete development at a high level.
She holds a master’s degree in Sport Management, International Development and Politics from Loughborough University and has a strong background in grassroots sport development. Before joining The Lacrosse Foundation, Ellie worked as a Club Support Officer for England Boxing, helping clubs strengthen participation, governance and community impact.
Ellie brings a blend of coaching experience, strategic sport development insight and long-standing passion for lacrosse to her role, supporting clubs and schools to grow the game sustainably across Great Britain.
